About Us

A native of Sun Valley, California, Christina Gumpert migrated to Santa Barbara in search of a new life, full of hope and promise. Basically, she heard the streets were paved with gold. After a series of comedic pratfalls, she discovered that this was not indeed the case, but Santa Barbara did have that whole "beautiful small town charm" thing going for it, so she decided to stay.

There was, however, something missing. Christina wanted to help the people of Santa Barbara and its surrounding areas, but she wasn't exactly sure how to. Then, one day, inspiration struck like lightning. What equals instant happiness? Cookies, of course! But what if someone wanted those cookies immediately? Or what if someone wanted to send cookies to a loved one for their birthday? For an anniversary? A reconciliation? Or just, you know, to be really nice? And what if that same hypothetical someone wanted the cookies packaged up real pretty and delivered with a smile or via USPS?

And so HotCookie.com was born. Because Christina wanted to give something back to the community. Because the people demanded fresh, delicious cookies. And because you can't eat flowers.
